My kids and their kids came to visit this beautiful Hill Country and while they were here I suggested they go on a date so I could have some quality time with my grand babies. We had already went to the river that day, playing with sling shots and sliding down a cement chute. So how was a Mamie to top that? Since I love photography I thought I would introduce it to my grandchildren, 5 and 10. And another friend, also 10, was there with her dad to share in the fun. So I showed them some of my photos—how to make a huge difference with an up-close shot and how to look for color in simple things like rocks and trees. They amazed me with the results of their attentiveness to my instructions and brought back some wonderful findings. We came in and printed their favorite ones and made cards for the parents.
Be sure to set your camera at the highest resolution and adjust the light settings appropriately to give them the most advantage. It's not like ten years ago, where every time you punched the button, the price of film was to be considered. I love that capturing beautiful images is now a free hobby!
Here are a few of the photos they captured that evening. I liked them so much, I've added them to my portfolio! Am I being partial or are these some really cool photos?
